Fungal Nails

Fungal nails (onychomycosis) are often nails that have become thick, long and yellow. They’re often very difficult to cut, unsightly and can leave the patient feeling embarrassed on appearance of the feet. Their caused by microorganisms such as yeast and bacteria, often from feet being in a dark, damp atmosphere, with sweaty shoes or trainers worn over time.

Treatment

We then “thin” then nails by reducing the thickness with a out nail burr, this can instantly improve the appearance of the nails.

Medication can be applied on top of the nail (nail lacquer) such as amorolfine, loceryl or emtrix.

Oral medication can be taken in some case in form of terbinafine tablets.
