After graduating with a first class degree from the Birmingham School of Podiatry, I kick-started my podiatry career as a locum for a short time with some volunteered work after. I had always planned to continue practising in the NHS, but life went in a different direction and took me to London where I worked with a highly reputable private clinic delivering gold standard treatments to a variety of clientele. Here is where I learned an array of specialist treatments and techniques that I then translated into my next position with an esteemed clinic group in Birmingham. Spending over three years here, I was able to develop and refine my skills with hands-on treatments day-to-day and ongoing training outside of the clinic tailored to making me what I would describe as an ‘all-rounder’ podiatrist, but with personal special interests in fungal laser treatment, shockwave, Swift verruca therapy and nail surgery.
When I’m not working on developing my skills or delivering patient-focussed care, I enjoy spending time with family, baking, travelling and keeping fit. Taking such an interest in fitness as I have has allowed me to appreciate how delicate but resilient the human body is. Most significantly, it’s has reinforced just how vital our lower limb health is to achieving and maintaining our overall health, both mental and physical, and it helps gives me continued purpose to do what I love professionally.
